Articles, speeches, and book manuscripts; sermons, hymns, and liturgy; correspondence; and class lecture notes and syllabi (1938 items, 1926-1994) produced by Beach throughout his life, but mainly during his career as a professor at Antioch College and Duke University. Many of the materials reflect Beach's concern with stewardship of the earth. A majority of the correspondence from and to Beach reflect his experiences as a student at Wesleyan College (1933-1937) and as a professor at Duke University's Divinity School (ca. 1947-1995). Also included is information on the formation, development, and activities of the Divinity School, including a folder (n.d.) of faculty skits. The collection also contains 1 color and 11 black-and-white photographs of Beach and his family. Beach died in 2000. (01-114).
